My Frist day in the forest classroom

Today

In the forest classroom I found myself jumping right in, most the children know me from previous classrooms and also being within the yard I have grown relationships with them over this time.

Of course this still came as some challenges but I was up for the task, some of the transition and routines are a bit different so I am getting used to them.

I was a little bit nervous starting in here today but my coworker and children were quite welcoming to me as well as the parents.

We had an extreme challenge with a giant puddle in our backyard but we made it work we got some yogurt containers and started watering the plants around the yard.

I also had a chance to really deep dive into some different parts of the guard with the children they were showing me different parts for they thought footprints were from a dinosaur lien that was invisible they were showing the holes that they thought snakes came out of.

It was quite interesting for them to guide me in this process it was very intriguing and magical.

I was able to do circle today the children really enjoyed it I did the three Billy goats gruff and we talked about the wasps in her yard as of course we have lots of mud and there are much wasps.

I was able to get some photos of different things that the children were talking about some of my pedagogical commitments were able to be fulfilled today.

All in all I feel like today went very well and I’m looking forward to tomorrow I have a planned activity for the mud kitchen.
